Rozi Mkrtchyan graduated from the University of Vienna with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Genetics and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. Her Master’s thesis, conducted at the Vienna BioCenter, focused on seed size–related developmental traits in Arabidopsis thaliana. In 2025, she joined the Nersisyan Lab at the Armenian Bioinformatics Institute (ABI) as a Junior Researcher. Her research focuses on investigating the interplay between telomere dysfunction, the gut microbiome, and inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease.
