A research team from the Armenian Bioinformatics Institute (ABI), headed by Dr. Lilit Nersisyan, has been awarded the $10,000 Annual Prize at the Adrin Gharakhani Invention Competition for Young Scientists, organized by the ARPA Institute.
Among the many high-quality submissions, the project “Telomeric Signatures in Cell-Free DNA as a Liquid Biopsy Biomarker for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)” was selected for the award.
The Adrin Gharakhani Invention Competition for Young Scientists recognizes innovative scientific ideas and technological developments by early-career researchers in Armenia. This year’s competition brought together 12 teams, whose projects were evaluated by a committee of nine experts representing diverse scientific and technological fields.
ABI is honored that the work of its researchers was recognized among such strong submissions.
