OMICSS-25 Genome Bioinformatics Summer School Comes with a New Format in 2025

The Armenian Bioinformatics Institute (ABI) is excited to announce the return of the OMICSS-25 Genome Bioinformatics Summer School, now with a new format to enhance the learning experience for participants.

This year, OMICSS-25 introduces dedicated bridge courses for those who want to prepare for the entrance exams or simply learn key foundational subjects—Molecular Biology, Programming, and Statistics—before diving into bioinformatics. These preparatory courses will help ensure that all participants, regardless of background, can confidently engage with the summer school’s curriculum.

Additionally, the main summer school program has been streamlined to a four-week intensive format, focusing exclusively on bioinformatics. Participants will explore interesting topics such as molecular technologies, bioinformatics algorithms, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and computational tools, culminating in a real-world bioinformatics project.

Important Dates to Remember:
OMICSS-25 Summer School: July 28 – August 24

Applications for the Introduction to Molecular Biology bridge course are closed now!

Applications for the Introduction to Programming: Python for Genomic Data Science are closed now!

Applications for the Introduction to Statistics are open now!
Application deadline: April 17th

This new format allows greater flexibility for learners, offering a structured path for those seeking additional preparation before entering the bioinformatics-focused summer school.
