OMICSS-26: Introduction to Molecular Biology Bridge Course - Applications Open!

Applications are now open for the Introduction to Molecular Biology bridge course for the OMICSS-26 Genome Bioinformatics Summer School at the Armenian Bioinformatics Institute.

The course is designed for beginners who would like to strengthen their foundational knowledge in molecular biology in preparation for further study in bioinformatics. It is led by Dr. Roksana Zakharyan.

The course will take place from February 20 to March 13, 2026, with classes held from 18:00 to 19:30 at ABI, Yerevan.

The program covers fundamental topics such as cell structure, DNA and RNA, and gene expression, providing a structured introduction to key biological concepts relevant to bioinformatics.

Participation in the course is free of charge, however, the number of places is limited. Priority will be given to applicants planning to apply to the OMICSS-26 Genome Bioinformatics Summer School.

Due to the high number of applications received, the application form has been updated to include a short task and a brief motivation letter, allowing for a more structured evaluation of applicants’ background and motivation.
